Flood Relief and Response

The staff and board at the Baptist Healing Trust recognize that many of our non-profit partners and their clients will have been affected by the devasting flooding that occured in Middle Tennessee beginning on May 1, 2010.  In order to respond immediately to the many needs of the community, the Baptist Healing Trust has donated directly to the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund, which is housed at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.  We encourage others who wish to contribute to the response to visit the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee website.   For our non-profit partners that have needs related to flood relief, please conact the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee at 615-321-4939 for more information. 

For those who want to volunteer in the flood response efforts, please visit the Hands on Nashville website to register. The Community Resource Center, who were victims of the flood themselves, are now open and operating out of a temporary warehouse location.  They are accepting donations of new basic nessessities and clothing for flood victims.  For more information, please visit the Community Resource Center.
