  • Focus on excellence and compassionate care
  • Serve people who are vulnerable and underserved
  • Recognize the humanity and dignity of each individual encountered.
  • The agency receives a $10,000 award. Two finalist agencies each receive $5,000 awards.

The Catalyst for Change Award

The Catalyst for Change Award recognizes local nonprofits that show boldness in expanding access to care through advocacy that seeks to change broken systems.

Award winners work in health and human services and go beyond individual patient/client advocacy to remove barriers to receiving healthcare. They may also focus on improving care or expanding access for populations of people who are currently underserved. Examples include:

  • Work to change public policy
  • Creating changes within institutions
  • Improving programs

If you have questions or would like specific examples of this type of work, please contact The Trust at grants@healingtrust.org. The Catalyst for Change Award winner will receive a $10,000 award and two finalist agencies will each receive $5,000 awards.
