ASMT is the leading advocate and resource for the autism spectrum disorders (ASD) community in Middle Tennessee.  ASMT's mission, is to enrich the lives and experiences of individuals on the autism spectrum, their families, and their surrounding community through support, advocacy, and education.  This grant will be used to fund salaries for the ASMT Parent Representatives.  72 of 96 (75%)  will self report having increased access to the health, educational, and community services they feel they need related to ASD after 2 months.  76 of 96 (79%) will self report feeling less isolated and more socially connected to the autism community after 2 months.  65 of 96 (67%) will self report feeling more prepared to manage the stressors of caring for an individual with an ASD after 6 months. 65 of 96 (67%) of parents will self report feeling more prepared to meet the needs of their child on the spectrum after 2 months.
