Building Lives Foundation, Inc. was established as a 501 (c) (3) in 2006. Since that time the organization's mission has been to "assist veterans in rebuilding their lives in thanks for preserving our right to live in freedom in the United States of America." The organization is committed to assisting veterans by providing assistance with treatment plans, individual mentoring, linkages to health and psychological care, employment resources, transportation, housing, and financial education.  The grant requested will fund rent and utility deposits, and partial assistance with rent and utilities for 45 veterans exiting transitional housing and moving to permanent housing and self-sufficiency.84 out of 87 (97%) veterans will have achieved self-sufficiency.65 out of 87 (75%) veterans will have been consistently employed. 84 out of 87 (97%) veterans will have remained alcohol and drug free. 85 out of 87 (98%) veterans will have graduated the Building Lives program.
