The Community Clinic of Shelbyville & Bedford County was established in September 2003. The mission of the Community Clinic is to provide free primary health care to the working uninsured of Shelbyville & Bedford County. This grant will provide a portion of funding for a nurse and for payments for dental services for uninsured patients.   Of the 1200 persons treated in a year 80 %( 960 persons) will have their health care needs identified and treated.  900 persons out of 1200 (75%) will have access to free prescription medications or receive a reduced rate for medications by application to pharmacies or through the free medications provided.  100 persons will be provided with free dental care valuing that care at $50/treatment and reimbursing the dentist up to $5000.
