Community Food Advocates
Community Food Advocates is dedicated to ending hunger and creating a healthy, just, and sustainable food system. They were formed in December 2009 through the merger of Manna, a 35-year old anti-hunger organization, and Food Security Partners, established in 2007 with a mission of ensuring healthy food access for all Middle Tennesseans. They are a movement of farmers, parents, students, persons of faith, community gardeners, and health advocates united by a commitment to the idea that all members of our community should have access to food grown in a way that promotes the health of people, planet, and community.
This critical needs grant is funding administrative costs related to the executive director transition so that infrastructure and administrative systems can be upgraded to meet the current needs of the organization.
