Fentress County Children's Center
The mission of Fentress County Children's Center (FCCC) is to provide comfort and safety for abused children, equip children and parents with tools necessary to heal from trauma, and prevent child abuse. FCCC, established in 2004, is a child advocacy center (CAC), which offers (1) forensic interviews, (2) mental health counseling, (3) medical examinations and expert testimony, and (4) prevention education. The grant requested in this application will be used to fund additional time from our contracted mental health provider, the victims service coordinator's salary and benefits, and administrative costs figured at 12%. 300 out of 375 (80%) participants will exhibit desired change in targeted behavior (experience reduced frequency or intensity of abuse-related symptoms, increased feelings of safety and empowerment). 281 out of 375 (75%) children and non-offending caregivers will report satisfaction with services.
