Hope House of Maury County
Hope House, Maury County Center Against Domestic Violence was established in 1989 by the Business and Professional Women's Association. Its mission is to provide direct advocacy, counseling, and shelter services to victims of domestic and sexual violence and to provide education and awareness to the community. This grant will fund contract counseling services with the Refuge Center to help clients work through the trauma they have experienced. 29 of 45 (64%) of clients will demonstrate a T score of less than 65 on the Trauma Symptom Inventory (TSI), resulting in a decrease in presenting trauma-related symptomatology such as dysphoric mood, post traumatic stress, sexual difficulties and self-dysfunction. Within in 6 months 14 out of 23 will have accomplished 60% of their treatment plan goals Upon completion of this grant 29 out of 45 will have completed 60% of their treatment plan goals.
