MDHA Housing Trust Corporation
The MDHA Housing Trust Corporation is a subsidiary of MDHA. MDHA is almost entirely federally funded for the primary purpose of providing affordable housing throughout Nashville/Davidson County. The Housing Trust was established to provide additional social services to enhance the lives of Nashville's poorest and most vulnerable meet unmet needs for public housing residents and to assist low-to-moderate income Nashvillians in becoming homeowners. The grant requested in this application will be used to fund a counselor and clinical supervisor. 8 out of 12 (66%) residents with an illegal drug use disorder (abuse or dependence) will stop using at one month after their completion of HeLP as indicated by the Government Performance Rating Assessment (GPRA). 35 out of 45 (78%) residents with an alcohol use disorder (abuse or dependence) will reduce use to below abuse levels as indicated on the GPRA and MAST-G at one month after completion of HeLP. Note: many of the participants with problem drinking behavior will abstain, and they are included in this figure. 40 out of 50 (80%) residents referred to mental health services will have accessed services in the month after completing HeLP as indicated on the TSR.
