 The mission of the Nashville Children's Alliance (NCA) is to reduce the trauma of child abuse victims and their families by facilitating a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team approach to detection, investigation, prosecution and treatment of child abuse. It was established as a 501(c)(1) nonprofit agency in 1992. The agency's goals for the year include:  1.To coordinate the multidisciplinary team investigations of alleged child maltreatment  2.To provide a child-focused environment for joint child interviews when there are allegations of severe child abuse to seek truth and justice 3.To provide evidenced based treatment, therapeutic interventions and advocacy services to victims of child maltreatment and their non-offending parents/caregivers  4.To continue serving children and families in culturally competent interventions  5.To educate the community about the prevention of child maltreatment and the reporting of suspected abuse to the appropriate authorities
