 In 1996, the NDCSF was incorporated as a 501 (c) 3 to help the substance abuse problem in the criminal justice system.  Its  mission is to solicit support for the Davidson County drug court Program (DC4), which provides supervision and treatment of non-violent offenders with substance abuse problems, as well as employment and social transition assistance.  The grant requested in this application will be used to fund a portion of the salary and payroll benefits for a position which serves as a support liaison between the Davidson County Drug Court (DC4) and the Davidson County Mental Health Court and other partnering agencies from the government and private sector.  14/20 (70%) MHCourt/Veteran intakes will remain in residential program at least 120-days consistent sobriety; 18/25 (72%) Drug Court /Methamphetamine/Prescription Drug intakes will remain in the residential program for at least 9 months and reach 9 months consistent sobriety.  14/20 (70%) MHCourt/Veteran intakes and 18/25 (72%) Drug Court/Methamphetamine/Prescription Drug intakes will demonstrate improvement in 2 mental health symptoms (i.e. depression, sadness, hopelessness, loss of interest) while in the residential program.
