Established in 1987, Our Kids provides medical evaluations, crisis counseling and other services to children and their families in response to allegation or concerns of sexual abuse.  Our Kids also seeks to raise awareness by educating the community about child sexual abuse and conducts research to add to the body of knowledge about child maltreatment. This grant will support a portion of a social worker and a portion of the on call worker’s salary.  100% or 227 children will receive medical evaluations and crisis counseling needed due to sexual assault.  0-60% or (114-136) of children requiring screening for STI (sexually transmitted illness) will receive appropriate testing. This number is based on criteria regarding the disclosure content and nature of sexual contact.  It is also based on Our Kids historical data.  50% or 95 caregivers will receive some type of follow up support at the CAC.
