Peace Unlimited, founded in 2003, provides long-term transitional housing for women seeking recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, co-occurring disorders and the affects of domestic violence. Supportive services include life skills, job readiness, twelve-step programs, recovery skills and transportation. All residents complete volunteer work as a condition of program completion. Their goal is to serve women effectively, with great love and care, impacting one life at a time as this pressing need is met in our community.  This grant will fund a portion of a contract LCSW and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor.   60% of women who complete the program and continue to access supportive services at Peace Unlimited, maintain contact with their sponsor or other support group will remain clean and sober during the grant period.  75% of those who complete the program and continue to access supportive services at Peace Unlimited, maintain contact with their sponsor or other support group will not go back to jail/institution during the grant period.
