Founded in 1979, Project Return, Inc. (PRI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of Middle Tennessee's prison population for the good of the community as a whole. It provides training and assistance designed to increase employability, improve life skills/coping skills, all in the hope of reducing the likelihood of recidivism. The grant requested in this application will be used to fund a portion of Salaries & Wages; Payroll Benefits; Materials for Dissemination; Professional Services; and a small percentage of Indirect Costs/Admin Overhead. 55 of 65 participants (85%) will see demonstrate improvements in at least two recovery indicators: abstinence from substances, employment/retention, social/family reunification, access to treatment services, or social well-being. 42 of 55 participants (76%) will carry out their individual Action Treatment Plan and successfully move into employment, reflecting a positive change in their physical and mental health, while remaining crime free and in recovery and/or gainfully employed for 180 days. 8 out of 10 families (80%), upon completion of the program, will experience new knowledge about family & addiction, co-dependency, and family triggers & boundaries, as assessed through exit questionnaires and assessments completed by each family.
