The Refuge Center for Counseling, was founded in 2005, to offer affordable professional counseling services in order to empower, educate and support individuals, couples and families in need.  This grant will support the addition of an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse to its trauma therapy services. 86 of 108 (or 80%) of trauma survivors served who commit to 4 or more EMDR reprocessing sessions will report at least at a 50% increase of the VOC (Validity of Cognition) Level related to their belief about self in conjunction with the traumatic memory.  32 of 47 (or 70%) of clients will obtain/refill needed prescriptions as recommended by the APN to decrease or alleviate symptoms.  37 of 47 (or 80%) of clients that present with anxiety, depression or PTSD will report a 50% decrease in symptoms.
