 Founded in 2005, The Refuge Center for Counseling exists to offer affordable, professional counseling services in order to empower, educate and support individuals, couples and families in need. The grant requested in this application will be used to fund a Clinical Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist salary and wages, EMDR Equipment, supplies (purchase of trauma assessments), professional development (additional training in EMDR), professional services (APN), admin overhead. 55 of 65 (or 85%) of clients will report that as a result of the mental health assessment they have an understanding of their psychiatric needs and diagnosis and have a plan for medication (in conjunction with counseling) that meets their needs. 52 of 65 (or 80%) of clients will obtain/refill needed prescriptions as recommended by the APN to decrease or alleviate symptoms. 45 of 50 (or 90%) of clients that present with anxiety, depression or PTSD (and completed the pre-post test BDI, BAI or PSDS) will report a 50% decrease in symptoms.
