The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville, founded in 1991, is to "keep families close" by providing essential resources and a "home away from home" for families of critically ill children receiving inpatient or outpatient medical care at Nashville area hospitals.  This grant will support the provision of mental health and emotional support opportunities for its staff who is at risk for burnout. Staff members will report their level of job-related stress decreased by 25%.  Retention rate for volunteers who participate in the emotional support services will be 75%.  Volunteer retention rate for volunteers who participate in the emotional support services will be at least 75%.  80% (360) of guest families surveyed will report that they were treated compassionately by staff members.
