 The Sexual Assault Center (S.A.C.) is the only agency in Middle Tennessee that specializes exclusively in the treatment of sexual assault survivors. Since 1978, S.A.C. has provided healing, regardless of ability to pay, for more than 20,000 children and adults and education to approximately 80,000 students annually. Beyond individual treatment, S.A.C. provides group therapy, client advocacy to assist with the legal process, hospital accompaniment and a 24-hour crisis line - accessed by more than 1,000 callers annually - which enables anyone, at any time, to get crisis assistance, support, or discuss suspected abuse. S.A.C. is equally focused on preventing sexual violence through age-specific prevention education, including: targeted programs for K - 6th grade; teens, youth-serving professionals, and parents/caregivers; college students and; the community at-large through educational sessions, community outreach and engagement.  Outcomes for the agency include: 70% of therapy clients will achieve all 4 therapeutic goals. S.A.C. will provide 40% of coverage for hospital accompaniment services for sexual assault survivors. School counselor surveys will show satisfaction rating of 85% or more for primary prevention curriculum. 70%  of students will reach Safe@Last milestones. 85% of staff state satisfaction with working at SAC on anonymous survey.
