The Tennessee Healthcare Campaign (THCC) is a statewide non-partisan, non-profit patient advocacy organization working towards affordable access to high-quality health care for all Tennesseans.  Since 1989, THCC has worked in collaboration with advocacy groups, affected constituents, community leaders, and policymakers -- from grassroots to grass tops -- to influence positive change in public health and health care. The grant requested will be used to fund partial salary, benefits, related materials, and travel for social worker to assist low-income people in finding or keeping health care coverage.   Of the 100 clients served, health care security will be ensured for 50 (50%) who will keep or obtain new health care coverage through TennCare, Medicare, AccessTN, Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan, or the medical safety-net, including 30 (60%) in Middle Tennessee and 20 (40%) statewide. THCC will disseminate information to 100 social service or non-profit agencies, including 60 (60%) in Middle Tennessee and an additional 40 (40%) statewide, providing up-to-date information about new or changing health care programs: eligibility criteria, enrollment process and costs.  We anticipate that 15 (15%) of these agencies will contact THCC for further information or training opportunities.
