United Neighborhood Health Services is a private non-profit group of primary health care centers and related services providing care to those who are uninsured and underserved in Nashville and middle Tennessee.  UNHS was established in 1976. The mission of United Neighborhood is to improve the health and quality of life of the underprivileged, vulnerable and minority residents of Nashville and Middle Tennessee. It does this by providing a health care home without regard to ability to pay and promoting health policies that advance a healthier tomorrow. The centers of United Neighborhood reach into different communities and institutions. United Neighborhood wants to be each client's "medical home," providing the individual all their preventive, chronic and acute care needs and to make referrals as needed.  UNHS also has prenatal care, dental care and behavioral health services.  UNHS is expanding by adding additional clinic locations, including a clinic in South Nashville in collaboration with non-profit, Conexión Américas.
