If applying for a grant, it is strongly recommended that a representative of your agency attend a grant workshop, paricularly if it has been more than a year since your last attendance. (Please note due to space constraints, we ask that no more than two representatives from any agency attend the workshops.)

If you have never applied to the Baptist Healing Trust (BHT) or if you have never attended a BHT workshop, it is recommended that you attend the "Introduction to BHT Grants." This is an overview workshop that speaks to the mission, philosophy and guidelines of the Trust and its grant programs. The intro workshop will also give a brief introduction to the components of the Transom grant application. This workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM at the Center for Nonprofit Management.

If you have applied previously or have attended the "Intro to BHT Grants Workshop," it is recommended that you attend the technical assistance workshop, "Writing the Program Design, Budget, and Updates." This workshop will be held twice and will cover, in more depth, the online application process, the program design, the budget and evaluation methods. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, from 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM and on Friday, July 11, 2008, from 8:30 AM - noon. Please note that applicants traveling from outside of Nashville may wish to attend the Intro Workshop and stay for the Technical Assistance training on the afternoon of June 25. Applicants who wish to attend both trainings on June 25 will still need to register separately for both workshops. The workshops are planned this way to be more accomodating for potential applicants that wish to attend both workshops from areas outside of Davidson County.
