The mission of the Nashville Children’s Alliance (NCA) is to reduce the trauma of child abuse victims and their families by facilitating a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team approach to detection, investigation, prosecution and treatment of child abuse. It was established as a 501(c)(1) nonprofit agency in 1992. NCA provides a child-focused environment designed to meet the needs of abused children and their families for comfort, safety, support and treatment. Services provided are four-pronged: Investigation, Therapy, Prevention, and Family Advocacy. The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include 447 forensic interviews out of the 595 (75%) children projected. 336 of those 447 (75%) children receiving forensic interviews will receive services through the Family Advocacy program at NCA to aid families in accessing criminal injuries compensation, linkage of resources, crisis intervention and safety planning.
