Founded in 1978, Sexual Assault Center’s (S.A.C.) mission is to provide healing for children, adults and families affected by sexual assault and to end sexual violence through counseling, education, and advocacy. For 38 years, S.A.C. has focused on accomplishing two things: providing healing and support for survivors of sexual abuse, and eradicating sexual violence in our community. As a result, the agency provided counseling for more than 21,000 children and adults, and delivered prevention education throughout the state. The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include 70% of clients will meet treatment goals, 90% of clients will report satisfaction with care, and 70% of students will be able to identify three or more safe adults and differentiate between safe/unsafe situations.
